We were at my moms house visiting. I thought he had gotten outside because he wouldnt answer or come when I called him. he usually always comes when I call him. So I was frantic, and I was also sick with a virus, so it was especialy fun.

We looked all around the neighborhood. It was awful. Then it turned out he was hiding in the house the whole time. He was mad at me, I guess. He came out from hiding later in the day.

We called the pound and a few other shelters looking for Patrick

nut-meg said...

The ad I was going to put in the paper made him sound really pathetic...

Lost, fluffy, orange kitty. One eyed. Has medical condition and needs special food.

He was mad that the ad made him sound so gimpy. He said I should have written...

Heroic and fabulous kitty. Gone on an adventure without his mom's permission. Call his mom if you have seen him and tell her he's ok, and he'll be home soon.

air-ono said...

he was lost, found, and collected all on the same day

air-ono said...

that's adorable, meg

anyway, i thought patrick was a dog

air-ono said...

peanuts is the dog, right

(lol)

only you would call a kitty "patrick"

air-ono said...

my next cat will be called "elephant"

nut-meg said...

No the dog is Peanut.

The other cats are Olivia, and Oscar.

The extra cat is Tootsie. I thnk I have found a home for her though.

nut-meg said...

//only you would call a kitty "patrick"//

Well, it's a family name.

Actually, I was told had I been a boy I would have been named Patrick.

nut-meg said...

I think Copernicus would be a great cat name.

The Friedman-Shostak UFO Debate

LINK

Stanton Friedman, Nuclear Physicist

Often referred to as the "Father of Roswell," Stan was the first to investigate the incident beginning in 1978. He is the man who brought the story to the public's attention, and out from under the government's lid of secrecy.

Stan has been investigating UFO incidents and reports since the mid 1950s, and went to it full time in 1970. In my opinion Stan is one of, if not THE most knowledgeable, respected, and credible people in all of Ufology.

===========

Seth Shostak, Senior Astronomer

Seth is an astronomer involved with Project Phoenix, and has a BA in physics from Princeton and a PhD in astronomy from Caltech. But he's also responsible for much of the outreach activities of the Institute.

He edits the newsletter, gives talks and writes magazine articles about SETI. He also teaches a half-dozen informal education classes on astronomy and other topics in the Bay Area. He invented the "electric banana."

Strange DNA results for 'alien' hybrid

Milagros Garcia is an alleged Alien and Human inter-species hybrid. The blood DNA from this Puerto Rican woman has yielded analyses so unusual and interesting that the physician involved is now interested in meeting the subject for further study. The DNA is possible in humans but is very rare. Ms. Garcia claims that she is the offspring of an alien encounter. The Doctor is not interested in the UFO/ alien phenomena he wants answers as to why her DNA has such rare qualities. A Case similar to this is being investigated in New Paris Ohio. A woman there has exceptional skills and get by on two hours of sleep a night. Omnec Onec alleges that she is a female extraterrestrial who originally came to Earth in 1955, who was born 246 Earth years ago. Omnec Onec says she was raised on the planet Venus in a town called Teutonia (a city whose name reflects earlier Venus-Earth contacts that included a trip to Venus by a German scientist). She alleges that she lived on an astral plane -- without a physical body -- until she was instructed by her leaders to travel to Earth with a message of peace and brotherhood. After landing in Earth, she said she was substituted for a seven-year-old girl who had just been killed in a bus wreck accident. She was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by the grandmother of Sheila, the girl whom she had replaced.

She grew up in what was to all outward appearances a normal life, never speaking of Venus, and endured the struggles that allowed her to deal with her own karmic past. She grew up, married and moved to Chicago, where she raised three children. worked as a bar maid, a clothes designer and a cashier. As a young adult, however, she began to manifest her second mission, to offer humanity an increased awareness of their relation to spirit. Omnec says she was trained to live as a human in an ancient monastery in Tibet.

lol, well I wasn't taking them too seriously. Although reading 'dead' near your name at 7 am is not exactly pleasant. w/e. I'm in a good mood. I don't have to work today, I get to listen to Sam when it actually airs this morning.
It is funny that some people are so touchy about me wanting to 'rearrange the furniture', when most of what I see on here is people complaining about the blog. So, why r u up this early conbo?

omg, exactly what I think. They have such great reviews and their fans REALLY dig them so I tried for like a week to get into it, but to no avail. They really annoy me and I didn't feel half as informed as I do listening to the Sam Seder Show

If life worked as it should...But I guess it's a matter of taste and Green's got a taste for the Turks. Feels so weird though. I just started listening to the SSS about seven months ago (never heard the Majority Report) but got hooked fast, and now it's going...It's like one of those tv shows that run half a season and get you totally invested and then are cancelled...

that can't be a very relaxing existence, though maybe that's better--for him to be on edge all the time--better for us anyway, not his ulcers. but if he comes back that'll be nice. sunday's is fine, I'm just used to 15 hours/wk, not 3. They won't be able to cover as much, or if they do he won't be able to put as much personality in it.

Lee Rayburn said, today, that the conservatives wouldn't want Mitt Romney because he is a Mormon. Are you kidding? How do you think he got all that money? It's Family Values and conservatives and Mormons claim to have them above all others. This is too important an alliance NOT to ignore unless you like what has happened since 1982. Sam Seder's last day is next friday according to Steve Clemons. What? Honestly the only reason my poor ass pays for the podcast is to listen to Rachel & Sam. I could care less about Malloy, Flanders, Rhodes, Ring of Fire, Eco-Blah, etc...

I like the younger, fresh perspective that Sam & Rachel provide.
